The Prison City Brigade contacted us to get on our show to promote their show at The Forge. At the moment I'm writing this to you all, the show is in three days. We encountered a ton of digital glitches. We would have had to redo the entire episode in order to remedy that. It was important to us to get this episode out in time for their show. We will fix these issues, and come back with a vengance! You'll experience some audible pops. Otherwise, the interview went well! We'll get these guys back on for their fans, and do it up proper. Enjoy episode 29!!

From our view on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub, we at Third City Sound would like to give you a glimpse of..............What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town. I went to Lincoln-Way High School with Craig Calderone, Jim Major, and TJ Oehmen(I actually called him by the wrong last name for about nineteen years. Awesome). They have had the opportunity to become a part of a music legend of the nineties, Green Jello. A guy named Bill Manspeaker was the mastermind behind the 1989 MTV music video, Three Little Pigs. He and guitarist Billy Youngblood were cool enough to call in via cell phone to join us on the show. Due to some technical difficulties, there is a massive amount of editing in this particular episode. You may notice one or two inconsistencies. We do apologize. It really was a great episode. It was really entertaining, and very adult.... What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town is proud to bring you an inside view of the great people rebuilding this town. There have been so many great musicians, artists, and businesses calling Joliet their home as of late. We have made it our duty to continually keep you informed about what you can get out to enjoy.

Our podcast is recorded at Third City Sound on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub, the hub for our community. I've meet some of the best friends here, and I look forward to all of the new friends that have yet to find us.

In episode 27, we introduce to you Ernie Hendrickson. He's played at The Pub a bunch, and has also played Hopstring fest. This gentleman has been playing all over the place for years with the likes of Chicago Farmer and Miles Nielsen. I caught his last set at Chicago Street Pub after recording episode 25 with the Joliet Brewer's Guild. He agreed that night to make some time to get on the podcast for his own episode. He absolutely killed his performance in the studio. His laid back style is a real treat to listen to. Enjoy...

In the hopes that there is always at least one new listener each week, welcome. We record this show live for you to find something new. Something made with a quality that will last more than a lifetime. We do this on the third floor of the same building as Chicago Street Pub. It's the place where so many of us came together. The studio that everyone sits down to talk with us in is none other than Third City Sound. We have found some wonderful people making great things for us to eat, drink, listen to, and of course some equally great establishments to enjoy them all in.

This week we were able to get the newest head chef in town to bring us some of his fresh menu items. Dave and I wasted no time devouring the three dishes he brought for us to try. We talk all about what we ate, and also some of the new menus that we can look forward to coming out in the near future at Juliet's Tavern. That's right I said menus....plural. Take a listen to What's Goin Down In Downtown J-Town to find out what your next meal is gonna be.

There's new life growing in Downtown Joliet. There's so much new music, food, beer, and festivals popping up all of the time. We interview as many people as we can that are bringing all of this to our area. We've also been making friends in surrounding towns that all have the same mindset. Community and support are becoming the biggest new trends. It's great to see so many people wanting to come together to help each other succeed.

In Episode 23, Ron Romero tells us about his music, sound company, and most of all his project to open a Museum for Illinois music. It's going to be so freaking cool!!! This is an episode you'll really enjoy...

There is an amazing music scene in Downtown Joliet. There are so many new establishments opening. A community of people are coming together to work towards a higher quality of life. It's getting larger and stronger everyday. I couldn't just stand by and not document any of it. To keep my mouth shut seemed like an injustice to my neighbors. A different kind of revolution has begun, and we would like to show you all about this inspirational place. We record this show live from Third City Sound on the third floor of our music monument, Chicago Street Pub.

In Episode 21, we were forced out of our cushy studio to record our first remote show! I guess my house isn't exactly adventureous, however we did encounter some challenges. The episode turned out great thanks to our wonderful guests. From the band No Horse we bring to you, Gigi Turner and Corey Moondog Meyers!! This is a good one folks. They blend punk and bluegrass together with ease. There's tales of woe and triumph. And also of Gremlins..........

There is more and more going on each month with new buisnesses opening up in tandom with festivals and events.

In Episode 20 we are happy to bring to you to memebers of the bad Saddles. None other than Nick Domberg and Tim Streit came upstairs to represent their band. The songs are great in this one, including a brand new title. We love these fine individuals.
