Our podcast is recorded live at Third City Sound in Downtown Joliet on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub. We've met so many great people from all walks of life at The Pub. With venues like The Forge close by, I've even run into some of my musical idols. We thought it would be a great idea to start documenting all of the, shall I say, advenetures at Chicago Street Pub. It seemed like a good idea to start talking about the efforts of people outside of our friend circle, too. There have been a lot of good times had, and new friends made. We hope you'll like listening to us discover the hidden gems in our neighborhoods.

Episode 32 features Chris Broach of Braid, and currently of SNST(Sunset). We convinced Chris to perform a rare solo acoustic performance from of two SNST songs. The interview hits a pretty wide variety of topics, so there's a little somethin' for everyone. Chris came on the podcast to promote a show at Thrid City Sound on Saturday December 9th, 2017. Great friends of ours The Vadevileins and Ovef Ow are on the bill, as well. Hopefully you'll read this and make it out. If you're reading this after that date let this serve as a time capsule. Enjoy Episode 32!

We started this podcast to document all of our friends music. We decided to interview anybody that had a passion for thier work. We strive to give a voice to people not heard of by the masses. We want to give a little perspective on all of the great things going on right underneath your noses. This show is recorded live on the third floor above our favorite bar, Chicago Street Pub. Come take a listen to What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town.

In Episode 31 we met Landspeeder. These Star Wars themed nutballs were hilarious. We had a great time having them on to promote their upcoming shows and 7" vinyl release.

As fate would have it, a large group of like-minded community driven people found their way to the sleeping City of Joliet. There has been an awakening taking place here. You can find some great spots to eat and drink while listening to local musicians. There's even a few spots to see some well known acts, too. There have been top notch festivals suitable for the whole family that are just insane amounts of fun. The people putting all of these things together do it because they love it, and it shows. It all keeps getting better as more new businesses keep popping up. This podcast is here to let you know What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town.

We got back into the studio after a seven week break to interview John Simpson. This guy comes out to almost as many shows and events around here as I do. This guy was behind the New Orleans North festival that's held each year. He does a ton of event planning with Bicentennial Park along with The Joliet Chamber of Commerce. He's been a great help and a tireless supporter. Listen to what this man has to say about it

The Prison City Brigade contacted us to get on our show to promote their show at The Forge. At the moment I'm writing this to you all, the show is in three days. We encountered a ton of digital glitches. We would have had to redo the entire episode in order to remedy that. It was important to us to get this episode out in time for their show. We will fix these issues, and come back with a vengance! You'll experience some audible pops. Otherwise, the interview went well! We'll get these guys back on for their fans, and do it up proper. Enjoy episode 29!!

From our view on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub, we at Third City Sound would like to give you a glimpse of..............What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town. I went to Lincoln-Way High School with Craig Calderone, Jim Major, and TJ Oehmen(I actually called him by the wrong last name for about nineteen years. Awesome). They have had the opportunity to become a part of a music legend of the nineties, Green Jello. A guy named Bill Manspeaker was the mastermind behind the 1989 MTV music video, Three Little Pigs. He and guitarist Billy Youngblood were cool enough to call in via cell phone to join us on the show. Due to some technical difficulties, there is a massive amount of editing in this particular episode. You may notice one or two inconsistencies. We do apologize. It really was a great episode. It was really entertaining, and very adult.... What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town is proud to bring you an inside view of the great people rebuilding this town. There have been so many great musicians, artists, and businesses calling Joliet their home as of late. We have made it our duty to continually keep you informed about what you can get out to enjoy.

Our podcast is recorded at Third City Sound on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub, the hub for our community. I've meet some of the best friends here, and I look forward to all of the new friends that have yet to find us.

In episode 27, we introduce to you Ernie Hendrickson. He's played at The Pub a bunch, and has also played Hopstring fest. This gentleman has been playing all over the place for years with the likes of Chicago Farmer and Miles Nielsen. I caught his last set at Chicago Street Pub after recording episode 25 with the Joliet Brewer's Guild. He agreed that night to make some time to get on the podcast for his own episode. He absolutely killed his performance in the studio. His laid back style is a real treat to listen to. Enjoy...

In the hopes that there is always at least one new listener each week, welcome. We record this show live for you to find something new. Something made with a quality that will last more than a lifetime. We do this on the third floor of the same building as Chicago Street Pub. It's the place where so many of us came together. The studio that everyone sits down to talk with us in is none other than Third City Sound. We have found some wonderful people making great things for us to eat, drink, listen to, and of course some equally great establishments to enjoy them all in.

This week we were able to get the newest head chef in town to bring us some of his fresh menu items. Dave and I wasted no time devouring the three dishes he brought for us to try. We talk all about what we ate, and also some of the new menus that we can look forward to coming out in the near future at Juliet's Tavern. That's right I said menus....plural. Take a listen to What's Goin Down In Downtown J-Town to find out what your next meal is gonna be.

The businesses in Downtown Joliet are coming together to create a great new environment filled with music, art, beer, and fresh food. You can find these things daily as well as tons of great festivals and events. We want to keep you in the loop of What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town.

Our show is recorded live in studio at Third City Sound on the third floor in the same building as the pub. I like to call it The Chi'er. The bar that started it all for us is none other than Chicago Street Pub.

In this episode we introduce to you THE founding memeber of the Joliet Brewer's Guild, Joel Rakoski. Also with him is the current Preisdent of the club, Doug Cowan. We also asked the infamous bartender of The Chi'er, Ben Burkey, to hang out with us. He's a handful.... We talk about beer while drinking it. Ya can't go wrong with this one, Folks. Enjoy!

There's new life growing in Downtown Joliet. There's so much new music, food, beer, and festivals popping up all of the time. We interview as many people as we can that are bringing all of this to our area. We've also been making friends in surrounding towns that all have the same mindset. Community and support are becoming the biggest new trends. It's great to see so many people wanting to come together to help each other succeed.

In Episode 23, Ron Romero tells us about his music, sound company, and most of all his project to open a Museum for Illinois music. It's going to be so freaking cool!!! This is an episode you'll really enjoy...
